Women’s golf takes seventh in Colorado

The Wichita State women’s golf team finished for seventh in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch Country Club.  

The Shockers came out with scores of 297-296-294-887, the second best score in program history. 

Senior Megan Schuetz and Sophomore Taryn Torgerson finished ahead of the rest of the team with scores of 77-75-69-221 and 73-73-75-221, respectively, leaving them tied for 25th place in the tournament. Schuetz’s career-best of 69 was shot at the Chip-N-Club Invitational in 2013. 

Senior Bryce Schroeder, coming off of a career-best performance two weeks ago with 71-73-67-211, tied for 32nd with scores of 71-76-76-223.

The Shockers will be competing again Nov. 1 through 3 at Diamante Golf Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
