iEngage lunch program to help students give the university feedback

If you’re reading this, I bet you’ve got an opinion about something on this campus.

Instead of tweeting about what you don’t like, why don’t you tell someone who can do something about it?

Christine Schneikart-Luebbe, associate vice president for student engagement and dean of enrollment management, says she’ll not only listen to your thoughts, she’ll see if there’s something she can do about them. To make it worth your time, she’ll even buy your lunch.

The iEngage lunches started with a simple idea: to get feedback about the university departments that she oversees from the people who actually use them, students.

The initiative specifically seeks to improve the student affairs division by catering their services to the needs of students. Dean Schneikart-Luebbe will take your comments – the good and maybe more importantly, the bad — on Student Health Services, Career Services, Campus Recreation, Undergraduate Admissions and more.

Of the many attributes that set Wichita State apart from other Kansas universities, this semester brings perhaps the most unique opportunity to have your voice heard by decision makers at our school. It’s remarkable that our administration is sitting down to the table with the most frequent visitors and biggest spenders here: us, and actually listening.

iEngage lunches are open to any student. They last about an hour, come with free food and a free t-shirt. Sign up at bit.ly/iengagewsu.
