Back to Business Bash kicks off a new year for Barton students

The Wichita State Barton School of Business hosts its Back to Business Bash today. The event is held to introduce new business students to the dean of the business school, Douglas Hensler. Students can mingle with business faculty, staff and classmates from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., south of Clinton Hall. The event is for business students only.

“I encourage all business students to come out,” Ryan Schrader, president of the Barton School Dean’s Ambassadors, said. “Enjoy some food, make connections with other students, faculty, staff and celebrate the new year.”

Hosts will serve hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks for all business students, courtesy of BKD, a local accounting firm.

Business students can enter their names in a drawing for one of two $250 stipends, courtesy of the business school. Various door prizes will also be up for grabs.

“If you’re not a business student, then you should change your major so that you can take part in the fun,” Schrader said. “This is just a perk of being a business student.”
