Dance until you drop

You might or might not drop after 12 hours of dancing.

The second annual Wichita State Dance Marathon ensures that the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) will use the money raised. WSU is teaming up with Newman University as a co-sponsor to the event.

It is set for noon to midnight on Saturday at the Heskett Center at WSU and features more than dancing. Participants can play sports, play in inflatables, sing karaoke, enjoy different performers, and listen to live music, have raffle drawings and more without sitting down.

People benefiting from CMN will be there to share their stories.

Anyone can participate with the 200-300 expected people. You can donate money to the cause and not participate, too. Friday is the last chance to sign up to dance. The time for making donations ends at 11 p.m. Saturday.

The dance marathon last year raised more than $17,500. This year’s goal is $25,000.
