Dean of College of Health Professions to step down at year end

After nearly 15 years, Peter Cohen will step down as dean of the College of Health Professions at Wichita State, effective June 30, 2013.

“Words cannot express what an honor it has been for me to serve this college,” Cohen said in a press release. “To work with so many people committed to a common purpose of educating excellent health-care practitioners, researchers and leaders in an atmosphere that encourages respectful and collaborative discourse on the current and future health care problems that face our community, region and state has been a source of daily inspiration for me over these 15 years.”

A national search will be conducted for a new dean to be in place by July 1, 2013.
