With more than 15,000 students studying at Wichita State, trying to make the four years worth it, there are always those degrees that get awarded to graduating students more than others.

The following information was collected by the Banner database, which students use to access their school email and get on blackboard; the list below comes from the degree database table and provided by the Office of Planning & Analysis (OPA).

For the school year of fall 2011, spring 2012 and summer 2012, the top five most awarded degrees were:

Bachelor’s degrees- Nursing, Accounting, Elementary Education, Business Administration and Psychology.

Master’s degrees- Social Work, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Physician Assistant and Sport Management.

Doctoral degrees- Physical Therapy, Audiology, Community Psychology, Aerospace Engineering and Chemistry.

The most awarded degrees for each level are as follows:

Most bachelor’s degrees

Nursing –  years awarded: 1980, 2000, 2010 and 2012

Accounting – years awarded: 1980, 1990, 2010 and 2012

Business Administration – years awarded: 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2012

Most master’s degrees

Business Administration – years awarded: 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2012

Electrical Engineering – years awarded: 2000, 2010 and 2012

Most Doctoral degrees

Chemistry – years awarded: 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2012

Aerospace Engineering – years awarded: 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2012
