Making Mary’s Monster: A University Libraries and Women in Horror Month Escape Room

Rustle up some good friends and get ready for top-of-the-line spooks at the Wichita State library’s free escape room! You’ll be solving puzzles and orchestrating team maneuvers to help Mary Shelley complete her masterpiece, Frankenstein, and defeat other writers in a ghost story contest. Make sure to register with six to eight friends ahead of time at https://libraries.wichita.edu/wihm to get in on the fun. If you can’t make the first time, don’t worry! There are also time slots from 2 – 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Rhatigan Student Center is hosting a special exhibit this Monday orchestrated by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The exhibit, which focuses on the traditions and history of African art, is sure to delight as much as it informs. The exhibit aims to also engage with African art’s influence on modern artists and pieces. Be sure to stop by during your strolls through the Rhatigan.

KMUW’s Literary Feast

Are you a media nerd who loves literature and radio? Then KMUW’s Literary Feast is for you! The event is an open-book discussion that features food for both the mind and the stomach. Discussion is led by KMUW book nerds Lu Anne Stephens, Beth Golay, and Sarah Jane Crespo, while food is provided by Public at the Brickyard.
