For the past two years, TJ’s Burger House has been named Wichita’s favorite burger and dining spot by the Wichita Eagle. 

Whether it’s the popular chili cheeseburger or a simple veggie burger, TJ’s has something to offer for all tastes. 

“I’ve been coming here for two years since moving to Wichita,” Mathew Harvey said while eating with his family. “We come here at least twice a month. It’s a great place to get a great meal and sit and talk.”

Harvey and his family shared a table full of some of TJ’s best. Harvey had the bacon cheeseburger, which is about three sizes bigger than a traditional McDonald’s burger. He also added a side of onion rings and carrot cake. Harvey’s wife and son had the mushroom Swiss burger, plus sides of fries and peach cobbler with drinks. 

TJ’s offers all Coke products with the option of a having a shake or a root beer float. According to one of the servers, some of the popular orders are a variety of open-faced burgers, which include fried onions hickory, chili cheese and mushroom Philly Swiss.

Don’t be fooled by the name, though. TJ’s also serves wings, salads, stew and kids’ baskets, among other items. TJ’s regular store hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., located at 1003 W. Douglas Ave.
