The Walking Dead season finale

Those who arrive, survive.

Isn’t that what we have been told about Terminus all season? Well, from the previews of next week’s finale, it doesn’t look like Terminus is going to be cranking out too many survivors from our group.

Last week’s episode answered a few questions when (Spoiler) Glenn and Maggie found each other. Darryl became a jerk again with his band of marauders, the unwitting leader of the band that’s hunting Rick, Carl and Michonne.

All paths will finally cross at Terminus since the group was split after The Governor’s group overran the prison.

We’ve spent the last half of this season switching focus from one small group to another, and it looks like they will all be within spitting distance at Terminus, but it’s difficult to say who will be on which side.

We know any “safe” place in this new post-apocalyptic world never ends up actually being safe, and it is pretty safe to assume that in this finale, one of our beloved characters will die.

The plot leading up to this finale hinted Darryl might die. Beth’s words, “Pretty soon I won’t need you at all,” foreshadow Darryl’s demise.  I bet Darryl’s loyalties still lie with Rick and his group so once everyone meets at Terminus, Darryl will try to turn on the marauders and die in the crossfire.

Speaking of Beth, who kidnapped her? Where is she being kept? Is she even still alive? We have a lot of questions, but many speculate she was taken to cannibal inhabited island of Terminus. They think the Terminus signs along the railways are a trap to bring in new meat to feed on.

Perhaps Maggie is the one to kick the bucket. This was foreshadowed when she had Glenn burn the only picture he has of her, she said, “You will never need a picture of me again,” meaning she would never leave him. Well Maggie, you had better knock on wood.

We haven’t seen Tyrese or Carol for a while, not since Lizzie went nuts and killed her sister before she herself was told to look at the flowers. Tyrese and Carol are on their way to Terminus carrying baby Judith, who hopefully gets reunited with her family, Rick and Carl.

The only “safe” assumption we can make for the season four finale is no one is safe.

The only thing any of us can do is hold on for dear life. The Walking Dead season finale is at 8 p.m. Sunday on AMC.
