Clydesdales, chips and cars: Super Bowl commercials delight

With Super Bowl ad prices at an all-time high, the pressure is on to create the most viral commercials.

Ad buyers are said to have paid as much as $4 million for a 30-second ad. With record prices for the coveted prime-time spots, companies are feeling the pressure to make sure their commercials have people talking.

In the past, the front-runners for Super Bowl commercial greatness have been Doritos, Budweiser and Kia.

But 2014 may be the year of the newcomer.

The new Audi A3 will be coming out in 2014. The car will be introduced in a unique way involving a dog show.

This could also be the year of the reunions. The former cast of Full House talked about a Super Bowl commercial reunion on Good Morning America.

It’s been years since the three leading men have been together. They will be supporting Oikos’s greek yogurt, a newcomer to the Super Bowl commercial ring.

Budweiser has already started to advertise for Super Bowl XLVIII, with patriotic commercials featuring their iconic Clydesdale horses. Kia has already teased about some fame they will feature in their commercials.

Doritos has also been pulling out the stops for the big day.

Get your chips and salsa before the game starts, because you’re not going to want to miss any of it.
