Here’s how WSU baseball players performed in summer play

Seventeen returning members of Wichita State’s baseball team played for various traveling teams during the summer break. Here’s a look at their stats.

Jacob Unruh, Sports Editor

Jacob Unruh is the sports editor for The Sunflower. He is a senior at Wichita State, majoring in journalism and minoring in political science. Unruh is pursuing journalism after graduation. This is his second year on staff. He goes by he/him pronouns.

Preston Caylor, Illustrator/Designer

Preston Caylor is an illustrator and newspaper designer for The Sunflower. Caylor is a second-year student at Wichita State pursuing a major in computer science with a minor in graphic design. After college, Caylor is planning to work as an IT technician while working to get an animation certificate/demo reel from Animation Mentor in New York. He hopes to eventually work at Disney.

Kristy Mace, Photographer

Kristy Mace is a photographer for The Sunflower. Mace served as the photo editor during the 2023-2024 year. She's majoring in psychology. Mace hopes to go on to get her Ph.D. and become a neuropsychologist. She does professional photography aside from The Sunflower.
