Adrian’s Café gives the feel of a European café with a very calm environment, the lights dimmed and instrumental music playing in the background. It is located at 21st St. and Rock Road.

It must not have been a busy time, because aside from myself, there were only three other small groups there. After a minute, someone appeared from the back and led me to my seat. I was brought a drink and menu, then left to look it over until I had decided what I would like to eat. 

The menu had a list of appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, entrees, pastas, and desserts. I noticed it lacked a children’s menu.  The dishes ranged anywhere from $10 to $20, and for a full meal, I estimated that I would spend anywhere from $20 to $30. I started with a salad, which was only an additional $2 with an entrée instead of the regular $7 or $8 price. 

The salad arrived not long after placing my order; it was seasoned lightly and not too filling. Scanning the room, I noticed that it was mostly couples present. My entrée was brought to me, a pasta dish served with garlic bread. The French bread was soft; the pasta was cooked nicely with no signs of being over or under cooked. After finishing my meal, I remembered that the waitress told me to ask for a dessert menu if I wanted one.

After looking it over, the waitress then brought me over a tray of assorted cakes and pies. After careful consideration, I chose to have the chocolate cake. She then brought the tray back to its proper place and after a few minutes, brought me my cake. The cake was exquisite, rich tasting and very soft, as well as being a rather lovely piece to look at. It was like the baker had put extra care in to ensure that the cake was both a piece of art and a delectable slice of heaven.

My bill was $20, and I left a $5 tip. I felt that my server was very kind and tried her best to ensure my dinner was pleasant. This was, in all, a lovely dinner and somewhere I would come  again, as well as recommend to a friend. It is a nice place to go with a loved one or on a date.
