Wichita State will host the Kansas State High School softball tournament, track and field meet and the 2025 Master Gardener Tour this weekend, which will impact parking near Cessna Stadium and Woolsey Hall. Officials recommend that campus visitors plan accordingly and arrive early if visiting.
The state competitions begin on Thursday, May 29, and will go through Saturday, May 31 and will bring many visitors to campus.
Parking lots 35 on the east side of Cessna Stadium and the north part of Lot 5 will be used for team buses and vans, along with Lot 22 near the Child Development Center.
Lots 10 (South of Corbin Education Center), 16N (near Duerksen) are reserved for employee parking, and the lot behind Charles Koch Arena, 2N, is reserved for officials.
The garden tour will take place near both the president’s residence and Woolsey Hall from Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1. Parking lot 41, near Woolsey Hall, will be restricted for the tour.
Despite temporary closures, summer parking is in place until August 18. Unless signage says otherwise, all green lots are free and available for parking.
