Office of Student Involvement to host leadership improvement opportunities

Students interested in developing their leadership skills can take part in new programs offered by the Office of Student Involvement.

Leadership To Go sessions take place every third Thursday of the month in the wRECk Center. The sessions are from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. This Thursday’s session is “Leadership Lessons Learned from the Hunger Games.”

The Leadership Discovery Summit is a more intense leadership workshop. It is from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 5. The summit features a speaker, breakout sessions and a banquet at the end of the day.

The Emerging Leaders program pairs upper-class students with first-year students. Its goal is to have established student leaders mentor younger students to help them become better leaders. The Office of Student Involvement starts accepting mentors on Oct. 1.
