Wichita State will hold a severe weather preparedness drill on March 4 at 10 a.m. as part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week, an initiative by the State of Kansas and the National Weather Service.
Students, faculty, staff and guests on campus are required to go to a designated shelter when severe weather sirens are heard and wait for an all clear to be given. The Wichita State tornado shelters webpage has a list of designated shelters.
This drill is done to provide information to those overseeing campus safety and evaluate the effectiveness of WSU’s emergency preparedness during tornadoes.
