For the first time since 2018, the Wichita State women’s tennis team will compete in the NCAA Tournament.
The Shockers found out they will play in the Norman Regional this weekend during Monday’s selection show.
WSU finished the season 21-4, which included a record-breaking 19-game win streak.
The Shockers made it to the conference championship game but fell to Rice, 4-2.
WSU will play a former American Conference foe, SMU, in the first round of the tournament. The Shockers beat the Mustangs earlier this season.
On the other side of the bracket, host Oklahoma will play Kansas. WSU has also played the Sooners and Jayhawks this season.
The Shockers’ first-round game will be on Saturday. The time has yet to be announced.
