Ellery Prothro is a first-year photographer for The Sunflower. She is pursuing a degree in Integrated Marketing Communication. After college, Prothro hopes to land a job in professional sports.

Zachary Ruth, Photo Editor

Zachary Ruth is the photo editor for The Sunflower. Previously, Ruth was a photographer during the 2024-2025 year. Ruth is a sophomore and previously served as the editor-in-chief at Newton High School. Ruth is studying journalism and media production and hopes to pursue a career in photojournalism after university.

Mya Scott, Editor-in-Chief

Mya Scott is the editor-in-chief for The Sunflower. Scott was the opinion editor in 2025-26 and the assistant editor for the 2025 Spring semester. Scott is studying journalism and creative writing. Scott hopes to pursue a career as a reporter after graduation.

Taliyah Winn, Editor-in-Chief

Taliyah Winn is the editor-in-chief for The Sunflower. Winn is a senior dual majoring in political science and journalism. She served as the podcast producer in the 2024-2025 year. After college, she hopes to pursue a career in multimedia communications.
