Wichita State announced the women’s basketball roster was finalized with the signing of Amaya Lacy last Thursday.
Lacy is a 5’9 junior guard transferring from Frank Phillips College, where she played two seasons.
Last season, Lacy averaged 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. She shot 37.7% from the field and 29% from three.
The coaching staff was also completed on Wednesday with the hiring of Rachel Swartz, who had been assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the past three seasons at Seattle University.
With Lacy’s commitment and Swartz’s hiring, the Shockers are now ready to start planning for the upcoming season.
