Finals week is quickly approaching, and despite all the studying you probably need to do, you also need to take breaks and give your brain a rest. Make these easy no-bake cookies for a quick snack and stress reliever.

One of the first things I learned to make when I was a child was the no-bake cookie. Whenever I see them, I always think of my childhood.

During the stress of finals, making cookies is a nice break.

Find your own break with this simple and delicious recipe.

What you’ll need:

1 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of milk (I used almond milk, and it worked perfectly.)

8 tablespoons butter (one stick)

1/4 cup cocoa powder

3 cups old fashioned oats

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Wax or parchment paper

What you’ll do:

1) Lay out a large sheet of wax paper.

2) In a medium or large saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, butter and cocoa powder. Set at medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring often. Let it boil consistently for one minute.

3) Remove the pan from heat. Add the peanut butter, vanilla, salt and oats. Stir until the peanut butter has melted and the oats are completely covered.

4) Using a spoon (an ice cream scoop works well), drop small portions of the mixture onto the wax paper.

5) Let the cookies sit for 30 minutes to harden.

6) Enjoy!
