Get ready for game day with the perfect snack

The Shockers and Notre Dame game is upon us. Preparing for the sweet match-up watch party? You are going to need snacks. It has been done, but a basketball court dip tray is quite the snack for game day.

Get the goods:

• Serving tray

• Refried beans

• Onion dip

• Black olives, sliced

• Shredded cheese

• Pico de gallo

• Avocados, diced

• Pickles, diced

• Chips

Assemble time:

1) On the serving tray, spread out the refried beans so they cover the entire surface.

2) Lay out the black olives in a court pattern.

3) Fill in the lines and center with the onion dip to represent the paint on the court.

4) Use shredded cheese to fill in “inside the paint.”

5) Add pico de gallo to select areas, as well, like under the “basket” or at the top of the key.

6) Line the parameter of the court with diced avocados and pickles.

7) Serve with chips on the side.

The options offered are just a suggestion. Don’t like pickles? Leave them out. Want more tomatoes? Fill up the sides. Play around with different chips, salsas, dips and anything you can imagine.

It does not matter what you do, just have fun, eat well and enjoy the game.
