Track team takes second
The Wichita State Track team traveled to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the Jack Jennett Invitational and Panther Quad track meet this weekend. Overall, both the WSU men’s and women’s teams took second against Indiana State but pulled ahead of UNI and Drake.
Strong individual performances were seen in the women’s team such as McKenzee Kroeschell, who took first in pole vault with a 3.41 meters and Amanda Gardner, who took third with a 3.11 meters.
Nikki Larch-Miller won the 60-meter hurdles for the Shockers with the second best time in school history.
Ethan Pearson won pole vault for the men’s team at 5.1 meters.
Wichita State is off to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational next weekend.
