That’s all, folks

This departure letter is different compared to the others in this issue. My letter is not a “good-bye” but a “see you later,” as I am leaving the Sunflower after serving a year as the sports editor.

This past year hasn’t been the easiest, but with the help of an amazing staff and close friends, I have been able to manage what little sanity I have left.

As I am grateful for the past year and the opportunities that have come my way, I am moving to the campus recreation department to embark on a new journey heading toward my career goals in the sports management industry.

Although I am not majoring in journalism, my experiences and personal skill growth that I have developed over the past year will be taken with me into my career. Attending the Arch Madness and NCAA March Madness tournaments exposed me to the behind-the-scenes activities of running a major event in the sports industry. With a constant adrenaline rush, attending both tournaments confirmed that I have chosen the right field.

In my final words, thank you, Sunflower staff, for everything you have provided me with over the past year. It has been real, and I am appreciative for everything.
