Health Professions to host cross-college cooperation event
Educational fields often seem worlds apart in discipline and thought, but one college on campus is planning on crossing those boundaries.
The College of Health Profession and the Interprofessional Education Resource Team (IPE) will be examining this issue with its event, “Interprofessional Education Development” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Friday. The event will be held in the second floor lobby of Ahlberg Hall.
IPE is an organization that promotes cross-discipline cooperation within health professions. Through cross-discipline work, they strive to provide patients with the best possible care. On Friday, the IPE will showcase the research, practice, and results of current cross-discipline cooperation within the College of Health Professions.
The event also features an simulation of a health emergency.
Local health professionals will also discuss interdiscipline cooperation. The event will conclude with a raffle for two android tablets.
Though it’s held in Ahlberg, the event is not only geared toward Health Profession students. Brandon Findley, a student IPE representative said all students and faculty, are invited.
“We would love for students and faculty from all the colleges to come through…to converse with us about how we can work together on different projects,” Findley said.
