Couch & Controller – March 28

I didn’t think anything could top the incredible Garbage Truck Simulator.  I mean, you not only took the controls of a garbage truck, but you also controlled the dude who rode on the side and threw the trash in the back.  What could possibly top that?

Well, have you ever considered who cleans the streets after the garbage truck has sloshed all that nasty gunk out of the bottom of the cans?  Astragon Games considered it, and so Street Cleaning Simulator was born.

This game is everything you could possibly imagine it could be.  Literally nothing is left to chance.  If you feel those brushes are too high – you lower them.   That’s right, you’re in control.  Honk your horn.  Turn on the windshield wipers.  Flip on the hazard lights.  It’s all up to you.

Jetting around the city at speeds of over 20 mph isn’t all fun and games.  You’ll experience traffic so real, you’ll swear you’re sitting at Rock and Kellogg.  The white van.  The white sedan.  The white van again.  The white sedan one more time.  And much, much more.  Well, no.  That’s pretty much it.

A boring fleet of rental vehicles isn’t the only thing hindering your progress.  The citizens of the town you’ve sworn to sweep have an incredible fascination with your street sweeper.  They will assemble in vast, impassable throngs around your vehicle.  But, that’s OK.  You can get out and walk amongst them.  Not that you can do anything out of the vehicle, but it’s nice to stretch your legs.

Tired of street sweeping?  Don’t worry.  There’s plenty more to do.  E-mail the mayor about vital street cleanliness issues.  Fill the truck with gas.  Fill the truck with whatever they use to keep the streets clean.  There’s a limitless number of things to do in the incredible virtual world of street sweeping.
