Letter to the editor: On Donald Trump, Kim Davis

I rarely state my opinion because I don’t talk politics or whatever the news is finding news-worthy. However, I have come across two issues that I feel it is time to voice my thoughts over. First, everyone seems to be in heated debate over Donald Trump running for president. My question to the good people who read this newspaper is, why shouldn’t he be our president? We have had other presidents in the past promise us that they would give us things to make our lives easier and none of those promises helped the middle-class working people. Bill Clinton was the closest to helping the middle class, but since then we just keep getting worse and worse.

Secondly, why does everyone have to be opinionated on this Kim Davis, county clerk, issue? In the Barton School of Business courses, we are being taught if you don’t do your job, you don’t have a job. There is no opinion needed, and there is no belief system in play. I respect the opinion of others and hope no one has taken offense to this letter. Have a great day and enjoy the outside weather.
