Baseball… I think not

Baseball is a sport some people love for what it stands for and others simply hate.

Different sports are constantly being compared to one another, and baseball just never measures up to everything else.

The sport is much slower than the other three major sports (hockey, basketball and football).

Now, baseball is definitely unique in that it has innings instead of quarters and has runs instead of points.

But the part that makes baseball boring is that nobody wants to wait in-between pitches. There is nothing going on, the players are not moving and most importantly, the ball is not moving.

That means there is nothing for fans to watch or to keep their attention.

Also, baseball teams play 162 games in a season in the professional leagues, and the college programs play about 40. There are so many games, each individual game becomes less important with fewer repercussions riding on it.

Additionally, baseball games take a long time to get through. The average game lasts nearly three hours and almost no one has the patience to sit and watch a sport for so long.

Finally, baseball does not have coaches; they have managers who, instead of dressing up for the game, wear the exact same uniform the players do.

All in all, baseball is not a terrible sport. But I would suggest watching a different sport instead.
