Student Activities Council is calling all Shockers for annual talent show

Application deadlines for Shockers Got Talent are approaching, announced via Instagram post by the Student Activities Council.

The annual talent show will be on April 3. Any singers, dancers or other talented students are encouraged to apply to audition. SAC is also looking for a student emcee.

Students who perform in the talent show can win up to $1,000 in scholarship funds for first place, $800 for second place and $500 for third place. The student who conducts the show as the emcee will also receive a $100 stipend.

The application deadline is Feb. 27. Interested students can apply here both to audition, and emcee.

In past shows, talent has included played instruments, singing, cultural dances and local band performances.

Kristy Mace is a photographer for The Sunflower. Mace served as the photo editor during the 2023-2024 year. She’s majoring in psychology. Mace hopes to go on to get her Ph.D. and become a neuropsychologist. She does professional photography aside from The Sunflower.
