American Athletic Conference forms scheduling alliance with SEC
Four American Athletic Conference teams will play an opponent from the Southeastern Conference next season.
The AAC and the SEC announced a scheduling agreement that will have four teams from each conference play a home-and-home series in the next two seasons. Schools participating in the alliance will be announced in May. All games will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
“This agreement demonstrates the continued growth and appeal of American Athletic Conference basketball,” AAC commissioner Mike Aresco said in a statement.
