Three DIY gifts

If you’re looking for some do it yourself gifts this Christmas, I’m here to give you some tips on the best gift creations you can make.

Reindeer Cocoa Cones: These fun treats make a great stocking stuffer or secret Santa gift. All of the components can be purchased for about $10. This is a great way to spread holiday spirit without breaking the bank.

For this gift, you will need a box of hot chocolate, a bag of marshmallows and clear gift bags, all of which can be bought at the grocery store. Additionally, you’ll need pipecleaners, glue-on eyes and red pom-pom balls.

Personalized Coffee mugs: Need a great gift for the coffee lover on your list? Well, on behalf of coffee-addicts everywhere, this is a great idea and pretty simple.

I would suggest using a blank white coffee mug because colors will show up better as you decorate, but feel free to use any color mug. The best part about this gift is it’s a completely personal gift. Visit any arts and crafts store or even Wal-Mart, to find markers, paint pens, glitter and whatever else you need for your mug.

Reindeer root beer or beer bottles: These are a fun way to decorate a six-pack of root beer or the real stuff. All this requires is brown pipecleaners, glue-on eyes, red pom-pom balls and the drink of your choice (in a brown bottle). The pipe cleaners can be twisted to create the antler shape and then wrapped around the bottle top.

Use the eyes and pom-pom balls to create the face, and you have yourself a reindeer bottle.
