Ron Baker, Fred VanVleet and Tekele Cotton congratulate each other in Saturday’s MVC Tournament victory over Evansville. The Shockers will celebrate their historic season on April 24 in Koch Arena.

No one can deny that the Shocker men’s basketball team finished the 2013-14 season with a great run.

While fans may still be in shock their favorite team is not dancing in the NCAA championship, they will have the opportunity to congratulate and thank head coach Gregg Marshall and the team at a celebratory pep rally on April 24 in Charles Koch Arena.

The program begins at 7:30 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for fans to find a good seat.

Attendees may also purchase shirts and other memorabilia from the Shocker Locker souvenir shop during the event. The concession stands will be open for food and drink purchases.

Highlights from this year’s season featuring clips from the Missouri Valley and NCAA tournament will be displayed on the video board at the event.

The Spirit Squad, Dance Team and Shocker Sound pep band will also be recognized.

Due to the large volume of requests, players and coaches will not be available for autographs at any time before, during or after the event.

The pep rally is free and open to the public.
