Intramural Sports:
Intramural sports are teams that play in recreational leagues and tournaments. All Wichita State students and Heskett Center members are able to join a team. Intramural teams are composed of females, males or both.
According to campus activities and recreation, students must first make an account on IMLeaggues.com. They will then have the opportunity to create or join a team that has already been formed.
Another option to play on a team is to list yourself as a free agent on the website. This means that you will be visible to all members on the site. You can request to join teams or post information about yourself so teams can request you to join their team.
Intramural sports at Wichita State include basketball, sand volleyball, golf shamble, flag football, pickleball, futsal, indoor volleyball, 8 ball tournament, dodgeball tournament and individuals and doubles bowling tournaments.
Sports Clubs:
The sports club program is designed to serve students with a common sports interest. The clubs can be instructional, recreational or competitive. Most clubs are run by students at Wichita State but they can have a coach or instructor.
Some clubs travel to compete at the regional and national level. Current clubs include barbell, bass fishing, cricket, disc golf, gaming, judo, shooting sports, men’s and women’s soccer, table tennis, ultimate frisbee, men’s and women’s volleyball, water ski and wakeboard, bowling and Wichita State student official’s association.
In order to join a club, students must sign up on the sports club interest form which can be found on the campus activities and recreation page at wichita.edu. Prior experience is not required for any team.

However, those wanting to participate in bowling need to try out for the team first. Those who are not selected as team members or developmental players will have access to free bowling practice and coaching from the Associate Coaching Program.
