Greeks imitate ‘Harlem Shake’ dance video
The Greeks on campus joined in the Harlem Shake craze Tuesday at the Heskett Center to help boost morale and create a video to use for promotions.
Freshman Emry Woelk, a member of the Women’s Panhellenic Association, came up with the idea two weeks ago as a fun way to promote Greeks.
“It seemed like a good thing to do,” Woelk said.
From there the idea was sent out to a few other Greeks who thought it would be fun and a plan was made. They settled on having it at the Heskett Center and invited all Greeks on campus to participate.
Those who have seen these videos know what to expect: the video starts off with Wu dancing by himself to the Harlem Shake song until a singer calls for everyone to do the shake, and that’s when everything goes crazy.
Students suddenly appear in wild costumes and everyone joins in on the dancing.
