Emmanuel Okorafor, a 6-foot-9 junior center, announced his commitment to Wichita State’s men’s basketball team on Tuesday afternoon via X, formerly known as Twitter.
He will join the Shockers as a senior and will have at least one season of eligibility remaining.
Okorafor most recently played for Seton Hall, where he averaged 2.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Pirates. Before then, he played two seasons for Louisville and averaged 2.8 points and 2.6 boards per game.
Okorafor is undersized as a center and not much of a deep threat. He attempted just two 3-pointers over his three collegiate seasons.
Okorafor is the second offseason signing at the center position for head coach Paul Mills. He’s also the third center to be listed on the roster next season as he joins Will Berg and Noah Hill in Wichita.
Like WSU sophomore guard Joy Ighovodja, Okorafor is from Nigeria and played for NBA Academy Africa in high school.
Okorafor is the sixth member of WSU’s transfer portal class. Mills has two more scholarship spots available ahead of the 2025-26 season.
