Students who believe a campaign has violated bylaws during the Student Government general election can report it on SGA’s website.
Senate seats, representing each of the colleges, and groups like graduate students, freshmen and adult learners, as well as the student body president and vice president seats, are all up for election in April.
Campaign rules are listed in the Student Government Association’s bylaws under Article IX, Chapter 4, sections 8-11.
The Elections Committee reviews all infraction forms to determine the validity of the concern. Possible penalties include parts of campaign funding being rescinded, candidates’ ability to campaign being suspended and being taken off the ballot entirely.
All infractions are available for appeal.
The general election will take place from April 6 to 8. Ballots will be emailed to students via SimplyVoting.
