Chair positions, committee members and priorities of Wichita State’s Student Government Association were put in place during the first meeting of the 69th SGA legislative council. 

Committee chairs were established by Student Body President Jayden Island. Andrew Beam was chosen as the senate affairs and operations chairperson and deputy speaker, Erin Tims as the student support services chairperson, Jamie Winslow as the student experiences and engagement chairperson, Case Brown as the government oversight chairperson and Zainab Tariq as the academic services chairperson. The chairperson oversees and leads the rest of the committee in its decision making. 

Grace Naylor was also appointed to be the student body treasurer — who oversees funding SGA provides to organizations through student fees, Ismail Saeed as the undergraduate student advocate, Blake Bailey as legislative and policy affairs director and Tyler Beatty as chief of staff. 

Lucina Eubanks was appointed to a newly reestablished position as the transfer student experience director, as well as Max Doung in the reestablished position of graduate student experience director. 

For the Finance Commission, Winslow was confirmed as business commissioner, Beatty as engineering commissioner, Ella Rundquist as adult learner commissioner, Caiden Berry as education commissioner and Island as liberal arts and sciences commissioner. The finance commission deliberates student fee allocations every spring semester, deciding how much funding each student fee entity will receive.
