I find it interesting that after just one year under contract with a new food service provider WSU is increasing the cost of meal plan options, in some instances, as much as 6.5% to 7.25%. Very curious as to what, after just one year, would require such drastic increases?

It looks like WSU has given up even pretending that The Flats is anything other than a dorm at this point. At those prices, nobody other than a student is going to be interested. Even for students, get a couple of roommates and you could easily find a 3/4 bedroom 2/3 bath house in a great neighborhood to rent that would cost much less per person.. Only suckers from out of town spending someone else’s money are going to pay this much to live in the WSU area. If you are already going to live in the hood, you can find a house to rent all by yourself for about half of what the dorms cost.

4bed 2 bath =$3775 * 2 semesters = $7,550 per person!
unlimited meal plan w/ required $75 option = 2165 * 2 semesters = $4,330
Yearly bill: $11,880
You live on campus about 9 months.
$11,880/9 months = $1,320 per month per person!
Good lord almighty, I as Fake Pres. Bardo couldn’t even dream of charging students that much

I’m pulling my hair out. Where do these people justify their accounting?
