New plaques for campus sculptures
Several sculptures on campus, including the “Sodbuster: San Isidro” sculpture near Elliott Hall, recently received new plaques. Many of the plaques around campus have become worn from time and weather, with some even going missing.
The Ulrich Museum of Art adopted a project earlier this year to replace the plaques for art exhibits on campus following the success of the “wayfinding” sign project, Wichita State’s effort to help students navigate campus. The “wayfinding” project began in 2015.
