$5 million committed to new business building by anonymous donor
A new $5 million pledge has been committed toward a new school of business building at Wichita State, a university news release said.
The pledge, which came from a donor who wished to remain anonymous, puts the total private donations toward the building at $26.7 million, the release said. WSU’s goal was to have at least $25 million of the $50 million goal come from private donors.
A new home for the W. Frank Barton School of Business is the top priority of the WSU Foundation’s Shock the World campaign, the release said. The new building will replace Clinton Hall, built in 1970, and will be located on the Innovation Campus. The building will be named Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, in recognition of the Woolseys’ $10 million donation to the project earlier this year.
The WSU Foundation will continue to seek out campus and community partners to donate to the project, the release said.
