Celebration of Life for late President John Bardo scheduled
Late Wichita State President John Bardo will be honored in “a series of events” from May 6-9, according to a university release.
President Bardo died last month at the age of 70 after battling a chronic lung condition.
The main event, the Celebration of Life, will be May 9 from 3-4 p.m. in Shirley Beggs Ballroom in the Rhatigan Student Center. Additionally, keystone programs and events during Bardo’s leadership will be on display outside of Beggs Ballroom. A dessert and ice cream reception will follow the event.
All events will be livestreamed on Facebook and Youtube.
During the week of May 6, a display will be set up in the Cadman Art Gallery in the RSC “showcasing photos, art and other historical mementos from Dr. Bardo’s life.”
