Wichita State Baseball lines up for the national Anthem.

Jake Hamilton, a top junior college transfer, announced his commitment to Wichita State last week.

Hamilton is a 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher. He’s currently boasting a 6-1 record with a 2.08 ERA through 61 ⅓ innings at Rose State College. Hamilton leads the NJCAA with 129 strike outs — a 16 strikeout average.

Hamilton’s father, Scott Hamilton, played baseball at the University of Oklahoma and his uncle, Eddie Hawkins played at Wichita State from 1982-86.
