Black team snags win in Game 5 of series
After a redraft of the roster, the Black team dominated game five of the Black and Gold World Series 12-4 Friday, the first Black win of the series.
The Black team set the pace in the first inning, scoring five runs and never looking back.
Greyson Jenista led the Black team after hitting three-for-four and adding one RBI. Meanwhile, teammate Tanner Kirk added three RBIs of his own.
The Black team also managed to score two runs in the fifth and sixth, one run in the seventh and their final two runs came in the eighth to bring them out comfortably on top.
While the World Series came to a slow end after having to cancel game four due to rain, the Shockers will soon be back in action for their last fall game.
Join the team in Halloween costume at 7 p.m. Wednesday for the annual “Screamage” game at Eck Stadium.
