Softball sets date for annual alumni game

The Wichita State softball team will host its annual alumni game on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Wilkins Stadium. 

The game will begin at 2 p.m. with a barbecue dinner to follow. Players will be present for a meet and greet as well. 

The cost is $15 for alumni, which includes dinner and a T-shirt. It’s an additional $6 for each person in the alumni’s party. 

The game is open to the public.

Volleyball 101 dinner a success for WSU

The Wichita State volleyball team held its fourth annual Volleyball 101 Dinner on Aug. 18 in the Preferred Health Systems Multipurpose Center. The event helped raise money for the Shocker volleyball program. 

The event featured a silent auction and coach Chris Lamb auctioned off a meal with the team at River City Brewery and a trip to the Indiana State and Illinois State matches. At the end of the night fans were able to learn basic volleyball skills at different stations.
