Linwood Sexton signing autographs

Linwood Sexton, father of Wichita State athletic director Eric Sexton, will be signing autographs from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Northrock Bowling Center at 3232 N. Rock Road.

Linwood Sexton played running back for Wichita University’s football team from 1944-1948 and participated in the 1948 Raisin Bowl, the first post-season bowl game WSU ever played in. He was named to three straight All-Missouri Valley teams and finished sixth in the nation with 1,014 yards his senior season.

The signing is in coordination with Rock’s Dugout Sportscards and Memorabilia, Kansas’s first card shop, established in 1977. Eighteen different sports card dealers from Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas will have cards to display and sell.

The signing will take place in the banquet room. Autographs and pictures are free.
