REVIEW: Starbucks’ new chocolate cream cold brew
Just in time for the start of summer, Starbucks released their new drink: the chocolate cream cold brew.
This cold brew is a permanent addition to the Starbucks menu as well as a part of the company’s Summer 2022 menu line-up, along with limited edition items such as the new Lime-frosted Coconut bar and the returning Unicorn cake pop.
The drink features Starbucks’ signature cold brew coffee topped with vanilla sweet cream cold foam mixed with chocolate malt powder.
When I tried this drink, I expected there to be more flavor than there was in the cold foam.
The drink itself was alright, but it wasn’t as sweet as you would expect it to be because of the advertised flavor profile.
When people think of chocolate-flavored drinks, they expect them to be super sweet because chocolate is known to be a sweet treat.
Personally, if I were to get this drink again, I would add mocha or white mocha for an extra chocolatey flavor.
I would recommend this drink to someone that isn’t too big on super sweet drinks but likes the flavor of chocolate; otherwise, add flavor if you like your coffee sweet.
