Men’s basketball improve school record to 12-0

Early got his first double-double of the season with 16 points and ten rebounds.

The Shocker men’s basketball team continued their undefeated record with a 77-66 win over North Carolina Central on Sunday to improve their record to 12-0. This is the first time in school history that the team has moved past 9-0.

 

In the contest over the Eagles, the Shockers had four players that scored in double-digit figures with one landing a double-double. Senior Cleanthony Early, junior Darius Carter and sophomores Ron Baker and Fred Vanvleet were among the four Shockers scoring in double figures.

Early scored 16 points and snagged ten rebounds in the win. Carter scored the most points for the Shockers with  a career high of 19 points and grabbed five rebounds.

The Shockers will take a break for the holidays and return to Koch Arena on Sunday, Dec. 29 to face Davidson at 2 p.m. The game is scheduled to be featured on Cox Channel 22.
