NFL Picks

Football season is underway and all of us are thinking the same thing: what teams will standout and what teams will fall by the wayside?

Here are my personal predictions for the 2013 NFL Season. Feel free to hate me.

AFC East

• New England Patriots: Although he’ll have a much tougher time connecting with his receivers, Tom Brady is still Tom Brady and will have impressive results. It may not be enough to win him a super bowl, or even a conference title, but he can’t get there every year…

AFC North

• Cincinnati Bengals: In this case, the greatest offense is a good defense. A phenomenal defense, actually. These guys will beat up quarterbacks and ultimately win games.

AFC South

• Houston Texans: A great defense, led by the brutality of J.J. Watt, will open up the opportunity for the offense to make big plays with Matt Schaub to Andre Johnson connections.

AFC West

• Denver Broncos: With arguably the best wide receiver line•up teaming up with one of the best pocket quarterbacks ever, it should be an offensive blow out with Denver all season long. If the defense can stay healthy, this will be the team to beat.

NFC East

• Washington Redskins: the diversity of Robert Griffin III will lead to great things this season for the Redskins. With the option to run or pass with success, he’ll be tough for any defense to follow.

NFC North

• Minnesota Vikings: filled with ambition and pure muscle, the incomparable Adrian Peterson will run over, jump over and straight up flatten opponents to get W’s. The real question is whether QB Christian Ponder can mature into the player Minnesota needs. If he does, this will not be a team to mess with.

NFC South

• Atlanta Falcons: With a decent running back in Steven Jackson and a decent quarterback in Matt Ryan, Atlanta should be a decent team. If the offensive line can show improvement and open up holes for both players to make plays, it will become a great team.

NFC West

• Seattle Seahawks: With the decision making of Russell Wilson and the straight up power of Marshawn Lynch, Seattle will own the air and the ground. With a brand new team philosophy focusing on thinking positively, their wins should follow suit.

AFC Champions

• Denver Broncos

NFC Champions

• Seattle Seahawks

Super Bowl Victor

• Denver Broncos
