Shocker baseball lands Razorback associate head coach
According to a press release sent from the Wichita State University athletic department, Shocker baseball has hired the University of Arkansas associate head coach Todd Butler to replace former head coach Gene Stephenson, who was fired earlier this month.
Butler is most well known for his ability to recruit successful teams and coach players towards improving their hitting skills.
“The program has great former players, fantastic fans and a great University and community behind it,” Butler said in the press release. “I look forward to replicating and building upon the great program that Gene Stephenson built, but also look forward to getting back to the glory days.”
The formal introduction and press conference is scheduled for Monday, June 17 at 2 p.m. in the All-American Club at Eck Stadium. Following the press conference, there is a scheduled time for a public meet and greet from 5-7 p.m. in the All-American Club.
