Lady Shockers close in on MVC title

The Wichita State women’s basketball team defeated Indiana State over the weekend 63-53 to remain in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Lady Shockers have one game remaining, a trip to Springfield, Mo., to play Missouri State on Saturday at 2:05 p.m. A win would clinch at least a share of the MVC title for the Shockers, which would be a first in program history.

The women’s MVC tournament gets underway on March 14 in St. Charles, Mo.
