It might look like a post-election celebration today in the Rhatigan Student Center.

It’s not.

It’s an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. coinciding with the Grand Opening of Pizza Hut Express.

“This will be all of them,” Shelly Martins, RSC director of marketing, said about the number and which restaurants are going to be part of the Rhatigan Renewal project. “We’re having the open house to celebrate the opening of Pizza Hut Express in the food court.”

She said Pizza Hut’s menu expanded to include hot sandwiches, wings and dessert bread sticks.

Its hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and it’s closed weekends.

Martins said the first 100 people wearing a gray or orange Rhatigan Renewal T-shirt and get to the Information Booth will get a surprise. She did not say what it would be.

She said Fast Break will be remodeled and reopen in a different location later during the reconstruction process.

The $26 million project paid for by student fees is scheduled for completion in summer of 2014.

RSC Director Jim Hermann said he expects food court patrons to enjoy having another restaurant open.

“It gives the opportunity for (more) choice,” he said. “The hot wings are awesome.”

RSC hours are:

•Mondays through Thursdays 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

•Fridays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

•Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
