News Brief: Woman falls from Wheatshocker window
A first-floor awning broke the fall of a 27-year-old woman who fell from a fifth-floor window at Wheatshocker Apartments about 4 p.m. Tuesday at Wichita State.
The WSU junior is being treated at a local hospital for injuries and is in stable condition as of this morning according to Joe Kleinsasser, WSU director of news and media relations.
He said she was able to sit up before being taken to the hospital. What specific injuries she suffered were unavailable.
Kleinsasser said it is unknown if she fell from her apartment or a hallway window.
He said no indications exist that someone else was involved in her fall or that the incident was caused by intoxication.
